Dear friend,
You are receiving this message because we are looking for just fifty individuals who want to find out how they can take advantage of today's connected world while enjoying more freedom and less stress.
We're inviting this small group to be the first founder members of a brand new club. Perhaps you (or somebody you know) may wish to be one of this exclusive group.
Let us start by asking you a question: How much do you know about, or even think or care about... what happens with your data, your virtual identity, either with or without your permission?
If you're like the overwhelming majority of the population, the answer will be, "Practically zero!" If that's you, you're not alone.
Here’s a hard truth. We didn’t all grow up with the Internet, and everything is changing so fast that it honestly feels like we can’t keep up.. So, when it comes to those areas of our lives that we live in cyberspace, well isn’t it easier just to ignore it?
The fact is, most of us are just blissfully going about our daily lives, enjoying the convenience of the connected world, freely sharing our information with social media platforms, retailers, and software providers. But how many of us ever look at the details of the terms and conditions we’re agreeing to? And do we ever wonder who else might get access to our data?
Welcome to the world of cyber security: It's a term that large organisations know all too well, some having whole departments dedicated to keeping control over their data... but when it comes to the rest of us, almost nobody gives it a moment's thought... and that's a problem.

Most of us are just blissfully going about our daily lives, enjoying the convenience of the connected world, freely setting up accounts and sharing our information with social media platforms, retailers, and software providers.
But cyber crime really can impact every one of us... and the consequences can be severe.
- Many of us have wondered about how many of our conversations “smart” home assistants like Alexa listen to... But did you know criminals can hack these devices to groom kids in their own bedrooms? And what about other smart devices, from doorbells to fridges and even cars?
- We might joke when our phones seem to listen to our conversations and share that info so that we get scarily accurate targeted ads... But how far can that information be shared, and should we care?
- Millions of us have even volunteered samples of our DNA to companies like 23andme or Ancestry. Do you know what the potential implications could be, or what those companies could (quite legally) do with that information?
Are you concerned that hackers, scammers, criminals, and other groups might find out your private information? Or what they can do with it once they have it?
Most of us simply have no idea how much detail about our lives is “out there” on the net, who can access it, or what they might do with it.
It seems like there’s just too much to keep up with, so we stick our heads in the sand, and hope that the worst will never happen to us.
But it is happening, to a lot of us!
Identity fraud is now one of the UK’s fastest growing crimes. In the UK it is estimated that 24% of us may have already been impacted, with some victims losing large sums of money as well as months of stress to recover compromised accounts.
And it's not just direct financial losses, but the other costs to your time, stress, and sanity. Identity fraud can leave you with a ruined credit rating, and some people have even ended up with criminal records, which can take years of effort (and grief) to repair.
What's more, it's thought that a staggering 75% of Brits have been exposed to online scams.
But even that isn’t the worst — it’s very far from it! Cyber crime doesn’t just target our money. A staggering 8 million children are reported missing around the world each year (and that's a conservative estimate), and many of those kids are targeted and groomed using social media.
There is no question that cyber crime applies to every one of us, but the real question we should be asking is, how concerned should we be? And the answer may actually surprise you.
On one hand, unfortunately in many ways the majority of us should be far more concerned, and we absolutely should take far more responsibility.
But on the other hand, protecting our individual interests and our personal security is not actually that hard or complicated... Once you get yourself informed.
The problem is, most people just don’t want to get informed. It seems like too much to think about, so we just choose ignorance.
But it isn’t going to go away! Because every year we’re doing more online. More shopping, more communication, more banking, more business, more social life, even finding romantic partners online! We are becoming more and more dependent on the net, but are we taking more care to protect ourselves?
The hard truth is, it’s nobody else’s job to keep you, your kids, your identity, or your money safe. This is something we have to do ourselves!
But there is also good news. You don’t have to give up your personal data or your freedom! You absolutely can reclaim control of your own info. And it really isn’t that hard!
And let’s face it, sticking your head in the sand also comes at a great cost. Because there’s always that worry in the back of your mind.
You'll be amazed at how empowering it feels to face your fears and take control of your own information! There's a real sense of confidence in knowing how you can go about your life more protected from the prying eyes of criminals... and whoever else might be watching!
Of course we’re not saying you need to become an elite hacker and try to make yourself completely invisible! (That is possible, of course, but for most of us it’s a step too far.)
All you really is three things...
- First, decide what your own individual appetite is for data security risk, in a range of areas. For example, is protecting your money critical? Protecting your kids? Your business tools? Or what about your messages and social activity? Now the answers to these questions should vary from person to person, because we are all different!
- The second critical step is to get informed about the actual threats and dangers. Every activity can have its own level of security risk, it’s just that most of us don’t know what they are. (This is true in daily life too.. We take a calculated risk any time we drive a car or go for a night out.)
- Finally, if the level of actual risk doesn’t match your personal risk profile, you can find out what steps you need to take to remedy the situation... And that might sound tricky, but it’s far easier than you think.
And it’s why we created Cyber Freedom Club... to help you discover what you need to know, and what you need to do!
What is Cyber Freedom Club?
Cyber Freedom Club is the brainchild of Jane Murdoch
Jane has spent three decades working at the highest levels of cyber security. As a Chief Information Security Officer, Jane has helped some of the largest corporations and nonprofits to protect their sensitive information and other assets from all kinds of threats.
But that all changed when Jane realised that it is not large organisations who have something to lose from cyber threats. Regular people also need to control and protect the details of our lives. So Jane decided to share her knowledge with everyone who needs it in a safe, private, exclusive environment: Cyber Freedom Club.

What you’ll get as a member
We believe you can interact safely with “the Matrix”, but to do so you first need to understand the real risks. Then you can assess how much control you choose to have over your own data, and take the necessary steps to get the right amount of protection — for you and your loved ones. Cyber Freedom Club will guide through those steps.
We’ll help you understand your rights regarding your own information, what you are entitled to know, and what you can control. Cyber Freedom Club aims to help you get all your questions answered, so that you finally get to feel in control over your own life.
Who should join?
Quite simply, anyone who cares about taking back control and having authority over our lives.
For example, if you have a lot of savings or investments, you may be keen to know what you can do to protect your money from fraud and scams.
Or perhaps you're a blogger, writer, or influencer who cares about freedom of speech.
Parents are often concerned about keeping their kids safe online, but feel powerless about where to start.
Or maybe deep down you just care about being the one in control of your own life, and believe that what you think, say, and do is nobody else’s business!
Whichever of these apply to you, Cyber Freedom Club is for you.
How it works
It’s a private members’ club, which means that everything we do is for the sole and exclusive benefit of our membership. We are answerable to no outside agency. You’ll get the truth, the real facts, and the best up-to-the-minute recommendations that are in YOUR interests.
When you join the club, you’ll get instant access to the secure online members’ area that we're building right now, where you’ll be able to browse videos and posts on a wide range of topics, get how-to guides, and submit your own questions to Jane.
You’ll get invited to join a weekly online Q&A session where Jane will answer questions from the members (7.30pm-8.30pm UK time on Thursdays) and a more free-form social meet-up on Mondays at the same time.
To get all of this, members are invited to contribute a minimum donation of £47 per month. (Membership continues on a monthly basis unless cancelled.)
We’re going to have to strictly limit the initial membership in early 2025 to just fifty members! Everyone else will need to wait until after the pilot completes before they can join. That’s because we are going to start by working extremely close with our special group of founders. We want to know their goals, concerns, hopes, fears, and we’re going to work right alongside them to develop the most helpful, practical advice and content imaginable.
So you could say this is genuinely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Pilot Programme
The Cyber Freedom Club Pilot Programme will run for 8 weeks in early 2025 (dates TBC). The programme is not yet open to join.
If this is not for you right now, thank you for reading this, and we have just one more thing to ask. Please think whether there is someone in your life who you believe might need this life-changing information and consider giving them the link to this page.
Please accept our very best wishes for the future.
Jane
